Custom Reports:

Clients often complain about the limited reporting capabilities of ClearCase, even with UCM enabled. We've implemented several custom solutions for clients using base ClearCase on UNIX, a Windows platform, or both. Our solutions give you a standardized report format with any of the information you desire - filename, version, date, user, comments, labels, attributes ... or specify your own format ... you decide! ClearCase UCM support includes project, activity and promotion level information. Access to your reporting tools can be provided through either of the means discussed above.

Is part of your software development process to label (baseline) your builds after they have completed? We can help you generate your build reports (BOM). If you're just looking for a listing of all of the files and versions contained in a particular build we can generate reports for you like the one shown to the right. Want to see more information in your full build report? Give us a call!

Want to know what elements have changed or been added and removed since a particular build? Our differential build report can will show just that. Compare any two build labels. Include a variety of information about each element and it's associated meta-data. Sort your report according to date, user, filename, attribute, etc ... Using attributes to track changes through an integration with your problem reporting tool? See which files in a build were changed to address records in your problem tracking database!

One client wanted a printable, sortable representation of an element's history as it appeared in the ClearCase GUI. We implemented a history dump to the file-type of their choice, '.txt' or a comma-separated version that is automatically loaded into Microsoft Excel for sorting, searching, or to extract specific information.
